You guys really did think of everything to make your guests feel welcome, warm, well-fed, cared for,
and free to make your home feel like our home-away-from-home.

I enjoyed everything about my stay with you: your kindness, your generosity, the yoga,
meditation, chanting, pranayama, drumming, the other lovely people, the chats
and just the serenity and comfort that 'West of the Moon' offers.
I feel inspired to take up my own practice again and I very much look forward to the next time.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Intensive
7-12 March 2012  2 spaces available

This hands-on intensive will get you fit, flexible and make the Ashtanga Primary series
accessible to every yoga student and yoga teacher.

We will explore the principles and practices of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system:
Surya Namaskara A&B, the standing and finishing sequences,

looking at variations of the asana in a way which is appropriate for you.
By the end of the intensive you will have the confidence
to participate in ashtanga classes without feeling like 'I can't keep up'.

If you are a yoga teacher,
this an opportunity for you to be able to teach the series

Yin Yoga Weekend Workshop
27, 28 & 29 April 2012 Fully booked...

27, 28 & 29 July 2012
spaces available...

Yin Yoga is an amazing form of meditative hatha yoga
which holds certain poses in deep, slow stretches, sometimes up to 5 minutes.

Challenging in its own right, yin yoga targets the connective tissue of the body, particularly improving the mobility of ligaments, bones and joints
of the hips, pelvis and lower spine.
It is a perfect complement to more dynamic styles of yoga
such as Ashtanga and vinyasa, and also to the majority of sports.

On this workshop we will look into the how’s, where’s and why-for’s of Yin Yoga.
We will explore the Yin Yoga poses in-depth and build sequences for a home practice.

Yoga teachers will find the workshop a wonderful compliment
to their existing teaching.

£250 includes all tuition, accommodation and meals
£50 deposit required to secure your place.
Space limited to 8

Times:
Friday 27 April:: arrival 2-3pm to settle in and have a cuppa, Course starts 4pm

QiGong in the Garden
Saturday 19 May 2012 spaces available
10am-4pm

Donald from www.5elementspath.co.uk  will lead us through Five Animal Qi Gong
(
exercises based on the movements of the bear, tiger, stag, monkey and lion)
where we will learn movements to use at home.

Qigong is a system of healing exercises originally developed in China over 4000 years ago
by the Daoists, who believed
that each person was a close fusion of mind, body and spirit, inseparably interconnected by Qi, or body energy.
All forms of Qigong are performed in a calm, relaxed manner, with no stress on the body,
but providing many health-giving benefits, both physical and mental.
Working on every system of the body, including the digestive, respiratory,
and circulatory as well as the more obvious muscular and skeletal systems,
Qigong can help to prevent as well as aid recovery from disease and illness,
and generally increase levels of fitness and health
,
suitable for beginners and also more experience practitioners.

We’ll be in the garden with fresh air and gorgeous views…
wear loose, comfortable clothing – and a pair of comfortable shoes
(you can also be barefoot if you choose
J)

£30pp including teas, coffees, snacks & lunch!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

More to come….
